We had a visit from a puppy last night…

Jason went out to take the trash to the dumpster. When he opened the door standing there was a little puppy. Nikki immediately went out to see the puppy. Elizabeth wondered where everyone was so she went out too. Pretty soon the girls were asking if we could keep her. Jason and I were too tired to go ask neighbors if they were missing a puppy so we let the girls take her in the backyard and play with her. We gave her some water and Nikki rocked her to sleep. Sometime after I went to bed she started whimpering. Jason checked on her and she stopped, but when we checked on her again at 3am…she was gone.
When we got up this morning Elizabeth immediately went looking for the puppy. Jason explained to her that sometimes puppies like to run around and when they get hungry or tired they return home. She took it pretty well. Nikki was told by her sister that the puppy was gone so we didn’t have too much drama over the puppy.
