Hiking Deadman’s Pass to Long Canyon and back again…
Posted by stephyc under: Uncategorized .
On Saturday, March 14th we went hiking for the first time in a while with our girls. Jason picked out the hike and decided on Deadman’s pass trail to Long Canyon Trail. He had figured the hike to be 6 miles round trip. We stopped about a mile and a half from the end. By the time we got back to the car we had hiked 5.2 miles (you gotta love gps).
We went to breakfast at Hobo Joe’s before going on our hike. We had a good breakfast before heading out on the trail.
We hiked from the Boynton Canyon Trail parking lot to Deadman’s Pass to Long Canyon and back again. Deadman’s pass is a very scenic hike. There is a lot to see from this beautiful hike.
When we returned to our car we noticed the car next to us was only six inches from our passenger side of the car. I can only wonder how the driver got out of their car. I know it would have been a tight squeeze for Nikki.
This hike was very difficult, but I think we will be so glad we took it. We will have many more hikes throughout the spring and even into the summer. This is one of our favorite things to do as a family!
