Black Stallion Literacy Program comes to DDB

Posted by stephyc under: Uncategorized .

The class that I work with at the school has the opportunity to be involved in the Black Stallion Literacy Program.  They bring horses to the school and allow the students to pet them there.  At that time they receive their first book called, “Little Black, A Pony.”  In a week or two the kids will go to the ranch and see what they do there.  At that time they will get another book called, “Little Black Goes to the Circus.”  I will add photos from the ranch when we go.

On Friday, April 3, 2009 we got to see and pet two horses.

These photos are of the horses that the kids got to see at the school, because I was asked to help students get to the horses I really only got photos of the one horse.  I was really surprised the horses did amazing it was super windy and they didn’t get spooked at all.  The kids were very excited to see the horses and most of them enjoyed petting them too!
