Tuzigoot National Monument Field Trip

Also on 7 May 2009 we got to go to Tuzigoot National Monument. After we finished at the Park we headed to Clarkdale, Arizona to see Tuzigoot. We got to walk up to the top and see the rooms.

We also got to go inside of a room how it would have really been laid out for a family.

This is what they believe the rooms actually looked like. It was a good 10 degrees cooler inside this room then it was outside in the sunlight. We also got to look down on the whole complex and see what it might look like from above.

This is the view looking down onto the living areas.

Each of the families that lived here got a single room to live in. They would eat, sleep, cook, and more in these rooms and I complain about my limited space. Here is a picture of some of the items they might have in their rooms. The big round pottery is how they collected their water.

Tuzigoot is a very interesting place to visit.
