Laughlin Trip (Day 4) June 2009
Posted by stephyc under: Uncategorized .
On Wednesday, July 1, 2009 the plan was to go home at the same time Emily and her family left. That way we could make sure we were all safe. Before leaving we had breakfast. Then we decided to take a boat trip.

Jaylee looking at the river.

The girls looking out the back of the boat at the river.

Nikki checking out the water…

Lizzi is really excited to see something flying over the river….

This plane was flying over the river the whole time we were on the river boat. We traveled from Don Laughlin’s Riverside to Harrah’s and back. After we got back to the Riverside he finally brought the plane in for a landing.

I took lots of pictures of this plane.

They are getting closer….If you look close you can see the instructor standing on one of the pontoons.

It was really cool to see this plane up close.
After cooling off for a couple minutes inside the Riverside Papa decided he was ready to leave. He headed for the door and Jaylee followed him. We hollered for Jaylee to come back, but as soon as she got Papa’s hand she wasn’t coming back for anything!

She was leading Papa down the riverwalk. It was so cute!
We went to Kohl’s for an hour or so….

Jason and Adam got tired of shopping so they took a break!

Adam looks good in pink.
After shopping at Kohl’s we stopped at McDonalds for a drink and the playground for the kids. We also got ice cream for the kids.

Lizzi is finished with her ice cream….

Nikki eating her ice cream….

Jason, Adam, and Jaylee enjoying ice cream…
As we were leaving McDonald’s Brady’s car started acting up. By the time we waited for a light that was really long his car wasn’t doing good at all. The guys had to work on Brady’s car to find out what’s wrong!
We started a movie for the kids to watch because they were all a little crabby and needed to rest while the guys figured out what was wrong with the car. They decided to take it to Auto Zone and have it looked at there.
Eric and his family were heading to Laughlin to spend a day or two with my parents. Just about the time the guys were getting ready to head to Auto Zone Eric and his family arrived. Eric traveled with the guys to Auto Zone while Jenn and the kids came upstairs to get settled into their room. Emily and I were putting ice in the ice chest and ran into them in the hall way. Making a long story short Jenise decided to take the kids on an adventure to keep them busy.

Here are the 8 Arizona cousins in front of the Tropicana Express.

The 8 Arizona cousins sitting at the train station in front of the Tropicana Express. Emily remembered that Jenise, Jaran, and Easton needed to make their pennies. Easton stuck his on his chin. It was cute!

Nikki was being a monkey and climbing on the poles. I don’t know why she does this….

The mist was on infront of the hotel so we took a few minutes to enjoy them!

For more fun we took everyone…All 12 of us up to the 24th floor to ride the elevator.

It’s a long way up there….

On the way back down we were going pretty fast and with 12 people you would think twice about getting in right? Well, we were having fun until….

The attack of the space invader. We stopped at one floor and this guy got on. Not bad, but a couple floors down another lady got on. He kept moving further away from the last lady to get on and right toward Jenn. Jenise said my mom is freeking out. I looked over at Jenn and she wasn’t happy to have someone closing in on her space. I had to take a picture. Here’s to you Space Invader for ruining our fun! We all got off on our floor and that was it for riding the elevators!
All the Mom’s were trying to get our hubby’s on the phone. So we were waiting in the hallway to find out if we should have dinner without them or what…

Lizzi and Jaylee were rolling around on the floor waiting for the Dad’s! Nikki on the other hand was bowing to her Grammy!

It was funny we were just getting ready to move to Mom and Dad’s room when the elevator opened and out came….

The Dad’s! They had finished fixing the car and we needed to get on the road because it was late already! Jason and I would have stayed another night, but Emily needed to work the next morning and since they already had car trouble we didn’t want to risk them coming back by themselves. We didn’t arrive home until 2am. We made it home without any troubles and immediately went to bed. All in all the trip was great! It was nice to get away and enjoy one anothers company!
