Swimming and Baseball…

Yesterday Wednesday, July 15, 2009 My brother Keith and I decided to take Nikki, Lizzi, and Logan swimming at the Kohler pool. We were having a good time. Uncle Keith told my girls if they would swim all the way across the pool without touching the bottom of the pool, they could get a wrist band to go on the water slide. I didn’t think my girls could swim all the way across the pool without touching. To my utter surprise Nikki was the first to get her’s!

I was very pleasantly surprised! She was excited to go down the water slide!
Once Lizzi saw that Nikki could go down the slide she wanted to do it too. She kept touching the bottom and grabbing onto me so I didn’t think she would get it either. I told her you have to do it without touching me or the bottom of the pool. She started swimming and made it over half way across and started to give up. I told her don’t give up you are over half way there. She finally made it across all by herself!

I am so proud of my girls. They put forth the effort to get their wrist bands so they could go down the water slide! Now they are ready to slide! Actually both of my girls slid down the slide a couple times before this, but I didn’t have my camera with me. So I ran into the locker room and got my camera to take pictures! Once I got my camera my girls were ready to slide some more!

Lizzi went down first after I got my camera! She was so excited to show off her sliding skills. She even stopped on the way down to pose!

Lizzi loves to show off! Now time to hit the water….

Lizzi had to swim back all on her own. She did it without any encouragement! Way to go Lizzi!!!
Nikki was so happy to be able to go down the water slide! She went down the slide fast so I only got one good picture of her on the way down. Then another one in the pool!

Nikki’s ready to go down the water slide. She went quick!

Swim back to the side Nikki….Way to go Nikki!
We had a blast at the Kohler pool! Thanks Uncle Keith for taking us there….

We love the water slide and the pool.
After swimming it was time to get ready for Logan’s baseball game. Logan plays Coach Pitch baseball. Logan was up to bat first…

He hit the ball every time! Way to go Logan. I didn’t take a lot of pictures, but I got him batting and also in the field. Logan is still learning the importance of running all out to first base. His first at bat he was out at first. The second at bat he got out at first, but if he had run all the way through he would have made it before the ball. His third at bat the pitcher fumbled the ball and Logan would have been on base before the ball if he had run all out! Luckily on his fourth at bat he was able to hit the ball and pulled out a home run! He was so excited to make it all the way around! Nice hit Logan!!!!

Logan playing pitcher!

Logan’s team on the field. Logan playing pitcher.

Logan playing first base! He also played at short stop, third, and pitcher…Way to cover the field Logan!
We think you did a great job playing ball. I can’t wait to see the game you play next week!!!
