Back to school…

Posted by stephyc under: Uncategorized .

Today our girls started back to school.  Yes, I know it’s Thursday!  Don’t ask me why they do that, but they do.

Anyways, we started out by Jason driving us girls to Dr. Daniel Bright Elementary School.  This is the same school I work at and I needed to be there no later then 8am.  DDB is a K-2 grade level school so this year Nikki had to go to a different school.  Since school starts later for Nikki we decided to drop Lizzi and I off first.

(apparently I can’t upload pictures anymore so I will have to continue without pictures…)

I went into the office to sign in and Jason and the girls left me there.  I found them waiting outside Lizzi’s classroom door.  Since the door was locked I asked Jason to help me drop off some of my things in my room.  We walked around the corner to my room and dropped everything off.  Then we went back to Lizzi’s class.

I started work!  Lizzi now a first grader wanted to go outside on the playground and I had to go to the cafeteria so I told her to have a great day and I would see her in a little bit.

Jason decided it was time to take Nikki to school so I told Jason and Nikki to have a great day!  Cottonwood Elementary School is about 5-10 minutes from DDB.  Jason took her over there and took her to class.  He said he was a little sad, because when they got there Nikki was hanging out with him and soon she found some of her friends and she just left him where he was…She didn’t tell him bye!  I guess she’s a little to independent!

I saw Lizzi a few times today she was being a good helper and student.  Lizzi’s favorite thing about today was….”having a great time and playing.  Being the line leader and then going back home!”

Nikki couldn’t remember her bus name so she had to be picked up by Daddy at school because by the time they got me on the phone the buses had already left!  I guess the letter I sent with her bus info wasn’t enough…

Nikki’s favorite thing about today was…”I got a new class and they were really nice.  I learned lots and lots.  I got to see Lizzi with her own class for a little bit.  I got to learn about other people in my class that I didn’t know about them.  We played lots of games.”
