Nikki was so excited to have her party at the bowling alley. She was so happy to see her friends from school.

Lunch was delivered to the party by Johnny Rockets. The kids all got to pick their food and they all camped out on a table and ate lunch together.

Nikki got the party started by being the first to bowl for the day.

Nikki opening presents Nikki opened her present from Uncle Kevin, Aunt Michele, Brian, and Adam first. She got some High School Musical Dolls from them and a big bottle of bubbles. As you can see she was super excited to get the dolls.

We found a really cute tic tac toe game to put on the tables at the party. The kids had fun playing with the game while they were waiting to bowl.

Jason picked her up from school and brought her home.  She threw up one more time.  She slept from 7pm until 3am.  When I couldn’t get her comfortable again even after Tylenol I put her in the tub.  She liked that and fell back to sleep pretty quickly after the bath.  When I looked at the clock again after she fell back to sleep it was 5:30am.  Lucky me…I got to go to work tired.

Jason took care of Elizabeth while I went to work.  I called him after work and he informed me that she had a temp of 103.  I talked to the school nurse and she said as long as she is keeping fluids down she should be okay.  I came home and shortly after I got home her fever broke.  I guess it was a 24 hour bug after all.

Elizabeth is feeling much better and even went outside for a few minutes this evening.  She’s playing on the X-box and hopefully she will feel even better tomorrow.

Dear Nikki,

In the land of enchantment filled with wishes and dreams come true.  I look forward to the magic of sunsets.  From a cloud I sit in my rose covered swing, knowing once again I will do what I love the most.  You see I am the Tooth Fairy!

I have been to your house and even remember, long ago, visiting your mother.  Soon, I will be visiting your sister!  I do hope that you were pleased with the gift that you found under your pillow.

Now, I don’t normally do this, but I wanted you to know that I am delighted to find that you learned to ride a bike.  I love visiting children and when I see a talented girl like you, I know that I have the best job in the world!

For this reason, before I left your house I waived my magic wand and sprinkled your pillow with stardust.  Nikki, try your best at everything you do.  And remember-with a little stardust dreams really do come true!

Nikki the toothless wonder

Nikki lost her other front tooth today.  She lost the first top front tooth about a month ago.  When she lost the first one, the other one was loose.  We have been trying to get her to pull the tooth for a month.  Finally today she pulled her front tooth.  She is so excited to be missing her other front tooth.  She called herself “toothless wonder.”  Just like Junie B. Jones.  Her adult tooth is already starting to come in, but it’s not as close as the first one was.  She is also waiting for the tooth fairy to come visit tonight.  Her note to the tooth fairy reads:

Dear Tooth Fairy,

I lost another tooth, so please give me another treat.  I got another treat for you.  It’s my tooth.  I hope you like my white tooth.  It’s so bright you might blink.  My grown up teeth are coming in and they’ll be so bright when you might see them some day.

This is a picture I took in my living room of Grammy and Papa with 8 of their 10 grandkids. It was nice to get a pretty good picture of Mom and Dad with all their Arizona grandkids. Now we just need to get Keith and Mandy out here with Logan and Alyssa. Then we will need to get Mom and Dad here too. Then we can have a picture with all the grandkids. It’s so nice to have most of us here now.

At the same buffet that Jason had frog legs-Elizabeth tried sushi for the first time. Jason gave her a piece of his sushi. Elizabeth liked it at first, but she only took one bite so I’m not sure if she decided she didn’t like it very much.  Elizabeth and I were just talking about this picture and she says…”It was good.” and gave me a thumbs up!

We went out to dinner at a Chinese Buffet. Jason found frog legs and decided to try them out. He said they were okay. I didn’t not try them because, I am not that daring. Plus when Jason isn’t very big on something I know there’s no way I’m going to like it.

Yesterday Brady got to fly in from Utah.  Brady is Emily’s husband.  He stayed in Utah to work while Emily searched for a job, but he was asked to interview for a job, so he flew in for the interview.  He arrived at the airport about the same time as Mom and Dad.  Brady thinks the job interview went well and should know if he got the job by Tuesday.  We all met at Kevin’s for dinner.  A delicious dinner prepared by a little of everyone.  Jason made scrumptious ribs, Kevin made tender chicken, and we had macaroni salad, potato salad, baked beans, cataloupe, and watermelon.  Everything was great!!!  It was good seeing Brady and we are hoping he gets to stay.

We sorted through the pens and pencils Mom brought home from EAA.  Her pile went quickly.  Nikki got the most pens and pencils of the grandkids.  Jaylee was the funniest to watch.  She wanted to help sort too.  We would give her one to look at, she would throw a fit for another one, and then do it all over again.  It was too cute.

Today was Elizabeth’s first day of Kindergarten.  She was so excited to go to school.  It was also Nikki’s first day of Second Grade.  We took lots of pictures.  In front of the school, in the cafeteria, and in the classroom.  Elizabeth told me she learned how to walk in the halls.  She enjoyed playing with the puppets.  Nikki said she learned lots of rules.  Both of the girls brought home lots of homework for Mommy and Daddy to fill out.  Elizabeth’s teacher told me she was a big helper today.  Nikki got to ride the bus home today and Elizabeth and I met her at the bus stop.  It seems they both had a good first day of school.
